Kathrine, or simply Kat, graduated from San Jose State University with a major in Child and Adolescent Development, specializing in Community Development, and a minor in Recreational Management. After college, she took on the role of Digital Marketing Apprentice at COOP Careers.
Her journey with children began in middle school back in 2011 and has since been marked by a dedication to volunteering and working in student affairs. She's been actively involved in leadership and cultural organizations, organizing and hosting events for various groups, and crafting engaging projects for youth.
Drawing from these rich experiences, Kat aspires to establish her own cultural nonprofit organization. Her vision is to provide a platform where children can immerse themselves in their native cultures through artistic expression. Looking ahead, she's eager to explore different career paths and travel to broaden her skill set and knowledge base, all in preparation for launching her nonprofit venture.
In addition to her passion for community development, Kat nurtures an interest in entrepreneurship. She envisions starting her own business, selling graphic design templates and acrylic designs. Graduate school is also on her radar for the future.
Currently, Kat’s professional career is at Maritz Global Events as an Events and Venue Manager, while serving on the Filipino Alumni Network (FAN SJSU) as the Events Directo at her alma mater.
